Dear Patients
Over the next few weeks, you may receive a text invitation to participate in screening for atrial fibrillation.
The screening service is provided using an app called FibriChek, you can find out more about how it works here: https://youtu.be/0DICPaWAJYk (this is the link to the YouTube video on how to use it.)
Patients who are considered to be at higher risk of Atrial Fibrillation because of other medical conditions will be invited to join the service and will receive the following text message:
“The chances of developing an irregular heart rhythm (eg. Atrial fibrillation) increases with age, putting you at risk of complications. We have partnered with FibriCheck (a certified medical mobile app) to invite you to check your heart twice a day for 7 days.”

You can join the service by following the link in the text.
If you would prefer a paper copy of the link, please collect one from the reception desk at Penntorr Health or at the Millbrook Surgery
