GP Shortage Update

Dear Patients

We are asking for your help and understanding over the summer period, specifically the school holidays. All our staff have been working exceptionally hard over the past few months trying to maintain the service. We believe it is really important that we allow our staff leave at time when it will enable them to spend quality time with their children and families.

We have been trying to secure locums continuously since October 2021, but as you are probably aware there is a national shortage of locums, especially in the school holidays. As a result, there will be some red days over the summer holidays where we have been unable to secure locum doctors.

We thank you for your patience during this period. On a positive note, we have managed to secure a new Doctor from October for five sessions per week.
