The Rame Group would like to thank the patients that completed the Poll question “Do you want to be able to pre-book non-urgent, Face to Face appointments with a Doctor?”
I can confirm that 80% of patients answered YES, they would like pre-bookable appointment, therefore the practice has made the decision to implement pre-bookable appointments later in the year with the caveat that:
- You will be able to book a telephone or Face to Face appointment with a doctor of your choice if the demand for that individual Doctor allows.
- It is expected that there will inevitably be a delay for routine appointments, but we will endeavour to provide as many routine appointments as our staffing allows.
- Currently all requests, urgent and non-urgent, are dealt with on the day. This will stop. Urgent conditions will still be triaged and dealt with on the day. But there will be a waiting time for non- urgent conditions.
- Urgent conditions will be dealt with by an on the day team which may include Doctors and/or Emergency Practitioners and Allied Clinicians.
- Your preferred Clinician may be seeing pre-booked routine appointment and therefore be unavailable for on the day requests.
We will keep patients updated on progress and advise of a start date in due course.
